House Speaker John Boehner's announcement last Friday to resign as speaker and leave Congress at the end of October is long overdue. The decision by the 13-term Ohio Republican comes amid mounting friction with the conservative wing of the party. Rebublicans need a strong strong leader to move their agenda - the agenda that has failed to move forward since their November elections mandate. House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy, R-Calif., may likely take Boehner's place.
Senate Majority leader Mitch McConnell must decide
to either use his backbone or resign. It's time for change and put
an end to President Obama's tyranny.
